Overview
Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Vascular trained Neurologist to join the Stroke team at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, Georgia. Hybrid scheduled position, 7 on / 7 off with 2 weeks outpatient in the Stroke Clinic in Marietta. The Kennestone center is a 633-bed Level I Trauma center with 24/7 neurointerventional, neurosurgical, neuroradiology and neurology services. The Neurohospitalist is supported by midlevel providers, a stroke coordinator, research coordinators and an integrated physician core group of neurosurgeons and neurologists. The WellStar Research Institute supports physician-initiated, NIH and industry sponsored clinical trials. Responsibilities
Provide expert care for stroke patients as part of the Wellstar Kennestone Stroke team. Collaborate with neurosurgery, neuroradiology, neurology, and neurocritical care teams. Support integrated physician core group and participate in research initiatives and clinical trials as available. Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or equivalent Clinical residency in Neurology Neurovascular Fellowship Georgia Medical License or ability to obtain DEA License Board Certified or Board Eligible by ABPN Employment details
