is expanding our psychiatry team! We are dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals with mental health and IDD needs. Our services include outpatient, emergency, and jail-based clinical settings in Harris County. As the local mental health authority, we strive to provide high-quality, accessible care. We are actively seeking a
Psychiatrist - Child
to provide psychiatric treatment, including evaluations, medication management, leadership to a multidisciplinary team, and crisis intervention for youth served by MCOT and YCOT. The position may also offer clinical leadership, supervised by the MCOT Medical Director.
Your Role Includes:
Evaluating individuals and completing assessments per State and Program Standards.
Providing Medication Maintenance for assigned patients or during crises.
Offering Crisis Resolution Services and recommending additional crisis interventions.
Ensuring all documentation complies with Medicaid, Medicare, insurance, and organizational standards.
Having prescriptive authority and supervising RNs and PAs, if applicable.
Completing required training and attending meetings.
Performing other duties as needed.
Contributing to suicide prevention with a trauma-informed, safety-focused approach.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Medical School and Psychiatric Residency.
Licensed to practice medicine in Texas.
Board Eligible or Certified in General Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent, or Forensic Psychiatry.
Current DEA registration and PDMP registration.
