After extensive training, a Field Clinical Specialist will travel frequently within an assigned territory, clinically training customers on the THV technology. This role is part of the Field Clinical Specialist team, delivering patient-focused innovations, partnering with clinical professionals, and training them on using our groundbreaking products. Aortic stenosis impacts millions globally. Edwards’ transcatheter aortic heart valve replacement (TAVR) program pioneered a life-changing solution that replaces the valve without open-heart surgery. Our Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) business unit partners with cardiologists and clinical teams to transform patient care with evidence-backed devices. The goal of this role is to help make each site independent on procedures, product preparation, and support. Field Clinical Specialists provide guidance on device use, enabling physicians and staff to reach expert proficiency and deliver positive patient outcomes. This role reports to an assigned Regional Director and collaborates with Sales, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, and Education. The role requires frequent travel within an assigned territory to clinically train customers on THV technology. How you will make an impact

Working independently in valve crimping, case management, pre-case planning, post-case management, 3 Mensio management, Therapy Awareness program management, and clinical education programs. Implementing sales and educational materials for clinician use; validates software and hardware updates in the field. Planning and implementing growth strategies within focused accounts in partnership with Sales Management. Developing clinical champions among current and potential customers for THV product advocacy. Collaborating with clinicians to deliver training and educational material to drive utilization of Edwards THV product portfolio. Educating physicians and staff to reach expert proficiency in THV procedures to deliver positive patient outcomes. Attending implants, device preparation and crimping of the Sapien valve in each assigned case; support physicians during THV procedures and manage complaint handling as needed. Supporting cases outside of the assigned region on an as-needed basis. Partnering with Territory Managers to develop site selection criteria and to plan/implement physician and staff trainings. Collaborating with proctor and sales organization to train physicians and support staff. Growing THV therapy through therapy awareness programs and assisting in THV procedure development in Cardiology and Surgery. Required qualifications

An associate’s or equivalent two-year clinical degree in Life Sciences or related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of five years’ experience in a sterile environment of a cath lab or operating room; direct clinical experience in interventional cardiology may substitute for some corporate experience. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Preferred qualifications

Previous experience with education and training in a clinical setting. Clinical skills in cardiac surgery or interventional cardiology; other relevant medical device clinical sales support experience considered. Sales skills including drive, self-motivation, interpersonal and communication abilities, planning, organization, closing, and the ability to work autonomously. Ability to travel extensively (approximately 60-70%) and to switch between technical and sales requirements. Candidates medically trained to the technician or nurse level are highly preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with cardiologists, support staff, and internal teams. Entrepreneurial spirit with a competitive drive and strong work ethic. Initiative and follow-through, collaboration across functions, with readiness to extend role beyond the stated Clinical Specialist requirements. Compensation and benefits

Aligning our business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs. For Washington, DC, the base pay range is $104,000 to $125,000 (highly experienced). Pay depends on qualifications, education, and prior experience.
