Role Overview

Zenith is looking for a driven and passionate individual to fill the

Director, Multicultural & Inclusive Strategy

role to deliver more meaningful, culture-driven, and business-centric marketing and media strategies for a major financial services client. This person will lead the development, execution, and stewardship of integrated media plans that deliver an inclusive vision. This position reports directly to the VP, Strategy with practice support from EVP, Cultural Convergence. Responsibilities

Inclusive strategy, media plan development, and collaboration across practices. Lead the development of Inclusive, Multicultural, and DEI media strategies that activate consumer insights, drive innovation for clients, and provide structure for brand channel presence/priorities. Act as team lead on the client’s business and oversee all aspects of the assigned LOB(s); manage projects and resources for subsidiaries/business units. Translate client briefs into culturally relevant, insights-led media strategy and activation briefs with clear media objectives; analyze client business situations to identify opportunities to reach diverse consumers. Build audience profiles and insights that illustrate diverse consumer motivations; deliver culturally grounded insights beyond demographics. Support development of roles for diverse consumers and media partners; define how media delivers on a holistic strategy while accounting for nuances and barriers. Participate in product and process innovation, including briefs, workshops, channel planning, and team collaborations to improve how we use communications for diverse audiences. Partner with Investment and Data/Analytics to ensure diverse consumer strategies are actioned in the marketplace and integrated into measurement and learning agendas. Develop client-facing presentations and bespoke culturally-led POVs and recommendations with support from the broader team. Establish and develop client relationships by understanding business needs and applying expertise to create tangible solutions with a culture-first focus. Collaborate with partner agencies to integrate messaging and campaigns into overall plans from a diverse consumer perspective. Serve as SME on culture within the team; stay current on diverse audiences, industry developments, and cultural movements. Ensure teams adopt best-in-class tools and systems to deliver plan recommendations aligned to client objectives. Provide direction, mentorship, training, and management to support direct and indirect reports. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. in Advertising, Marketing, humanities, liberal arts, or related fields. 8+ years of media planning experience with a focus on culture-first strategy and planning across: Hispanic/Latino, African American/Black, Asian-American/Pacific-Islander, LGBTQ+ markets Agency experience highly preferred 5+ years in a management capacity Adept at injecting ideas and leading industry developments into planning assignments. Clear, diplomatic communication for client/internal discussions. Curiosity and passion for client business; strong media partner relationships across diverse-owned and targeted partners. Proven experience presenting plans to senior-level clients and influencing decision-making. Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills. Accountability, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to guide others in defining high-level strategy; budget management and cost control. Positive, team-player attitude with a focus on collaboration and growth. Self-starter, detail-oriented, and capable in a fast-paced environment. Computer Skills/Software Knowledge: Microsoft Suite, Nielsen, Kantar, IMS, Flowchart Software, R/F and Optimization Software, Social Tracking tools, comScore, Prisma, MBOX, MRI/GfK, GWI; ability to translate data into culture-first insights.
