Therapeutic Radiation Therapist
to support VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle, WA. If you are passionate about precision, patient safety, and contributing to life-saving treatments, we'd love to hear from you. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Therapeutic Radiologic Technology program (certificate or associate degree - JRCERT accredited) ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy with at least 2 years of experience BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or Military Training Network 3+ years experience with:
Radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment (preferably Varian TrueBeam) Delivery of prescribed therapeutic radiation for cancer and abnormal cell growth 3D-CRT, IMRT, and IGRT treatment techniques (preferably Varian TrueBeam) Radiation oncology electronic medical records (preferably Varian Aria) GE CT Simulator or equivalent
Responsibilities
Treat 15-25 patients daily while maintaining flexibility for urgent cases Operate and perform warm-up, imaging, and treatment procedures on Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, including Onboard Imaging and CBCT Perform daily equipment checks and report issues outside approved parameters Follow all safety protocols and patient identification procedures Perform advanced imaging techniques: MV, KV, CBCT, Electron, 3D Conformal, IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT Utilize SGRT (preferably VisionRT) including 4D simulations and breath-hold techniques Assist with CT treatment planning and patient immobilization Benefits
