Clinical Nurse II - Perioperative - CVOR
Clinical Nurse II Perioperative role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for assigned patients in a Perioperative unit, including CVOR, Cath Lab, Operating Room, Recovery Room/PACU, Pre-Admission Testing, Pre/Post Unit, HOI Pre-Op, HOI Operating Room, HOI Recovery Room/PACU, HOI Surgery Center. Job Responsibilities
The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely and appropriate quality patient care. This includes providing physical assessments, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administrations, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the patients assigned. Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs. Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed and confers with the appropriate resource personnel when making ethical/legal/medical dilemma decisions. Performs other duties as assigned. Additionally, the Clinical Nurse II meets the requirements outlined in the Clinical Ladder program respective to his/her department. Required Skills & Experience
One (1) year recent Operating Room (OR) experience in an acute care hospital. Recent completion of the Perioperative Training Program. Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Certifications & Licensure
Registered Nurse in the State of California - Current and in good standing. Current BLS certification prior to clinical rotation. CVOR: ACLS required within 6 months of hire. Preferred Certifications & Licensure
Operating Room (OR): CNOR. Pay and Benefits
Pay range (USD) 56.00 - 65.00 hourly.
