Psychiatrist-Administrative Component

Optimus Health Care—the largest provider of primary health care services in Fairfield County—has multiple locations in Bridgeport, Stratford, and Stamford, and is committed to being a lifelong health care partner to the communities we serve. Ideal candidate will have experience in leading a team. The administrative component is approximately 20%, with the balance in direct patient care.
Responsibilities Interview, assess, diagnose, and treat patients appropriately within the standard of care.
Prescribe psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
Collaborate with other Behavioral Health Professionals to discuss treatment plans and patient progress.
Provide individual professional consultation among Professional Staff for in-service/education as necessary to provide increased level of service to patients.
No On-Call Responsibilities.
Qualifications
MD/DO from an accredited Medical School and Completion of Residency Program specializing in Psychiatry
Board Certified or eligible to sit for Board Certification
CT Licensure
Working knowledge of Spanish helpful
