Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon, St. Joseph's Hospital South, Riverview, Florida
BayCare Medical Group, the leading multi-specialty group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to join our well-established and growing practice. The clinic is based at St. Joseph’s Hospital-South in Riverview, Florida, with surgical cases performed at satellite hospital locations throughout the region. In 2030, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital will open a new state-of-the-art facility, further enhancing our ability to provide exceptional pediatric orthopedic care.
Our collaborative environment includes a highly skilled team of orthopedic surgeons, advanced practice providers, pediatric subspecialists, and a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will have access to advanced surgical suites, dedicated OR time, and the latest surgical technology to manage a wide range of pediatric orthopedic cases, including multiple fracture types.
We are especially seeking a surgeon with a special interest in hip arthroscopy and hip surgery. We are willing to provide training and mentorship for candidates eager to develop these skills.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat pediatric orthopedic conditions, including trauma and multiple fracture types.
Perform surgical and non-surgical interventions using advanced surgical technology.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists, physicians, and APPs.
Share call coverage equally among five surgeons, including an adult traumatologist.
Participate in practice growth and development within a supportive, collegial environment.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency and fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
Florida medical license (or ability to obtain).
Special interest in hip arthroscopy and hip surgery preferred — willing to train if interested.
