Our work depends on a Senior Salesforce Developer joining our team to design, develop, and implement customized solutions within the Salesforce platform for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration.
Responsibilities
Program using Apex, Salesforce Lightning components (AURA/LWC), JavaScript, and other development languages and tools.
Develop Lightning components (LWC in JavaScript with Aura framework) and utilize Salesforce Lightning Design System; maintain fluency with Apex, SOQL, and SOSL.
Support the Product Owner in gathering requirements, provide solution options, and highlight dependencies with the existing implementation.
Develop and configure solutions using Salesforce functionality (AURA and LWC), APEX, Visualforce, SOQL, and SOSL.
Participate in the full development process from requirements to deployment; ensure Salesforce best practices and standards are followed; review and provide feedback on technical implementations and documents.
Collaborate with junior developers on code reviews and provide feedback.
Create and maintain technical documentation including processes, naming/commenting conventions, and Salesforce policies/procedures.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects during project delivery, including deployment in production environments.
Mentor and guide development team members; may manage team members and monitor work assignments and performance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant hands-on experience.
Valid Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce platform development, including LWC and Apex.
Experience with SLDS, Visualforce, Triggers, Batch classes, SOQL, SOSL; declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, Lightning App Builder) involved.
3+ years supporting custom Salesforce solutions in Lightning with deep knowledge of major Salesforce technologies, data modeling, integration, and data migration.
Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, architecture, design, development, administration, and security model.
Experience with complex system integration (e.g., Copado) and OO design patterns.
Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Experience Cloud (Communities) development.
Experience with Salesforce IDE and version control (GitHub, Bitbucket) using VS Code, IntelliJ, SFDX.
U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance; ability to obtain DOE L clearance.
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Copado).
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
Experience with Web Services (SOAP and REST).
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
Strong communication skills for presenting ideas to varied audiences.
Technical assistance and end-user troubleshooting for bug fixes and enhancements.
Ability to multitask across multiple projects and stakeholders.
