Medical Assistant
This role involves assisting with document management, conducting clinical assessments of research participants, performing laboratory functions, and supporting various tasks related to the operations of the research clinic. Responsibilities include: conducting height and weight measurements, ECG, and vitals; processing blood using a centrifuge; assisting with document management and protocol-related clinical assessments of research participants; supporting laboratory functions and the operations of the research clinic; providing training and mentorship for team members and study teams; performing unit administrative support tasks such as inventory, ordering, billing, and scheduling; assisting Principal Investigators, physicians, and nurses with special procedures and examinations; providing and documenting professional medical assistant care in accordance with study protocols and regulations; ensuring data collected is recorded accurately on the appropriate forms; maintaining cleanliness of examination rooms and stock assigned areas; performing required checks on logs and equipment like refrigerator and eyewash logs; carrying out phlebotomy and sample collection, lab processing, handling, and shipping; obtaining all required consent forms before any research activities; fostering a cooperative work environment; and engaging with customers professionally, ensuring satisfaction with services provided. High School diploma or GED, Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least one year as a Medical Assistant, CCMA or NCRMA certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Preferred IV Certification, Phlebotomy experience, CITI training, Excellent bedside manner, Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $24.78 - $25.00/hr.
