Position Title: Front Desk Receptionist Department: College Advancement Reports to: Coordinator of Events and Reservations The mission of the Advancement Department is to advance the mission of the college with external constituents through mutual partnership, service, and resources. Institutional Goals supported by Department: IG 4, 5 A. Summary Serves as the first point of contact at Ozark Christian College by greeting, welcoming, and directing guests appropriately, whether in person or on the telephone, and assists other departments with additional clerical duties. B. Primary Duties and Responsibilities 1. Welcome visitors in person or on the telephone 2. Direct visitors appropriately 3. Be familiar with campus activities to help direct guests appropriately 4. Assist departments with mailings or clerical duties, as needed C. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Able to communicate clearly and effectively, listen, and focus on guests 2. Able to multitask and be flexible in a changing work environment 3. Professionalism, friendliness, and a positive attitude D. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements 1. Some experience with administrative duties in an office setting 2. Working knowledge of office equipment E. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and fax machines. This position requires prolonged sitting and finger, hand, and arm movement. This position requires excellent hearing and verbal skills. This is a part-time position with morning hours.
