Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in overseeing all day-to-day operations of restaurant, ensuring that every guest experience is a memorable one. This position plays a key role in the Food and Beverage Department as part of the management team. All outlet leaders are responsible for the fiscal success of both their managing outlet and the overall success of the Food and Beverage Department through teamwork, promotion and retention of associates, as well as creative problem solving. When applicable, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will also oversee all aspects of Guest Room Dining service. Essential functions include delivering internal and external guest service, building and retaining guest relations, overseeing all day-to-day restaurant operations, communicating on behalf of the owner, meeting financial goals, working closely with the Chef de Cuisine and Restaurant Manager, successfully completing critical aspects of deliverables, approving schedules, ensuring accurate payroll submission, communicating resort news, attending mandatory meetings, following up with guest concerns, assisting in creating yearly operating budget, demonstrating attention to detail and decision-making skills, managing time effectively, handling confidential information with discretion, ensuring compliance and leadership training, providing coaching and feedback, reviewing financial reports, ensuring guest satisfaction, engaging associates, creating work schedules, communicating effectively, using office equipment efficiently, and performing other job duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include an associate's degree in Hospitality or related field, 1-year supervisory experience in a Food & Beverage Restaurant or outlet, experience in a Forbes four or five star rated restaurant, outgoing personality, superior customer service training, communication skills, ability to manage workflow orders, staff development and retention, ability to lift/push/pull/carry no more than 5-30 lbs, ability to stand continuously for 95%, operate equipment for 15%, kneel for 20%, bend for 50%, climb for 35%, and drive for 0% of their scheduled shift.
