Description Leidos is in search of an exceptional and detail-oriented Senior Systems Administrator to spearhead the deployment, configuration, administration, and maintenance of intricate enterprise systems and their associated hardware. This vital role is key to defining IT infrastructure strategy, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security, while providing technical guidance across both physical and virtual settings. Key Responsibilities Lead the installation, configuration, and upkeep of servers and supporting hardware within both physical and virtualized environments. Architect and manage the enterprise systems infrastructure in accordance with advanced functional specifications and industry best practices. Continuously monitor system performance, analyze logs, and troubleshoot irregularities to maintain optimal uptime and reliability. Design and implement backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and restore operations for critical systems. Oversee storage resource management, conduct advanced performance tuning, and manage the deployment of system patches and updates. Develop, maintain, and audit thorough documentation for system configurations, operational processes, and procedures. Recommend and implement improvements to system architecture, security measures, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and stakeholders to advance enterprise-wide technology initiatives. Mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance, and review work to ensure quality and consistency. Lead technical projects, promote process improvements, and manage system upgrades. Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and applicable regulatory standards. Basic Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required. Bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 10 years. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree. Proven expertise in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of IT systems and hardware. Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure management, IT best practices, and system architecture. Hands-on experience in system administration, server management, configuration, deployment, support, and troubleshooting. Advanced proficiency in managing both physical and virtual environments. Experience with large-scale backup and recovery operations. Skilled in performance tuning, storage management, and patch management. Deep knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments and Active Directory administration. Expert-level scripting and automation skills, particularly in Microsoft PowerShell. Demonstrated success in leading technical projects and driving process enhancements. Preferred Qualifications Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams. Able to influence cross-functional teams and key stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with the capability to develop complex technical solutions. Experience in recommending system improvements and functional specifications. Proficient in analyzing system performance logs and proactively resolving issues. Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, and applicable regulations.
