The Project Management Office within the Information Technology Directorate is looking for a results-driven Project Manager II to join the team. Key responsibilities include: Under general supervision of a senior level project manager in support of one or more projects. Providing support on three or more small projects (&$5M TPC). Using MSTS project management processes, techniques, and tools. Delivering projects based on the PMI Project Lifecycle. Accurately reporting the delivery status of projects to executive sponsorship and key stakeholders. Participating in all aspects of the project(s) over the entire lifecycle (initiation, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing). Providing technical and administrative assistance to assigned projects. Coordinating work efforts through interaction with peers, project leaders, and supervisor. Qualifications

Due to the nature of our work, U.S. citizenship is required for all positions. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience and 2 years' related professional experience. Previous project management experience and responsibilities should include: Managing small projects (&$5M TPC) and project teams ( Defining, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and successfully completing discrete elements of scope in compliance with defined schedule, costs, risk, and quality constraints. Maintaining satisfaction of stakeholders with differing needs and expectations. Managing communications between project stakeholders and team members. Identifying and complying with project requirements in development of products and deliverables. Managing the project team in successfully achieving project scope, schedule, and cost objectives. Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Evaluates alternatives and identifies solutions using systematic, multi-step approaches. Collaboration: Facilitates discussion and resolves conflicts within the Integrated Project Team (IPT) and with stakeholders. Established trust among IPT members. Builds and uses cross-functional relationships to accomplish tasks. Establishes and manages small IPTs ( Achieve customer satisfaction. Seeks advice from more senior project managers. Decision-Making: Demonstrates effective decision-making skills, including knowledge of how and when to escalate issues to higher levels. Analyzes the risks and future impact of decisions. Project Management certification preferred. e.g. PMP, CSM. Proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Project Desktop and/or Microsoft Project Online, and PowerBI is helpful. Work will be conducted at our Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change). Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Must possess a valid driver's license. Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
