Are you the Outreach Coordinator we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by supporting our clients to achieve their goals! JRI's Boston GLASS program is dedicated to providing a continuum of services to LGBTQIA+ youth of color and their allies in the Greater Boston and Greater Framingham areas. As a leader in LGBTQIA+ youth services, we also provide education and consultation to other providers and community organizations. Salary: $45,000 to $48,000 per year Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week What You'll Do: Provide support to clients during crises, acting as a liaison and offering assistance as needed according to specifications. Engage with medically and/or psycho-socially underserved individuals through culturally sensitive outreach, offering education, companionship, and resources. Collaborate with clients to identify personal goals and outline actionable steps to achieve them. Evaluate clients' social and structural needs, assisting them in accessing the necessary services. Participate in the intake and discharge processes as directed by program leadership. Deliver services in both office and community settings outside the office (e.g., homes, schools, hospitals, institutions, and other community locations) as defined by program leadership and supervisors. Offer program-specific support to clients through both digital and in-person outreach. Contribute to client recruitment and retention initiatives. Provide individual and group interventions, along with educational activities tailored for specific populations, as assigned. Assist team members as directed, such as peer leaders and others. Collaborate with leadership to achieve program goals and objectives in line with funding source expectations, such as BPHC funded interventions. Work with leadership on data collection, quality assurance, and quarterly reporting in partnership with Quality Assurance team members and program leadership. Partner with program leadership to enhance access through tabling events, street outreach, internally hosted events, and to provide on-the-ground support and creative guidance for peer leaders and the social media specialist in outreach initiatives. Oversee the facilitation of the Youth Advisory Board/Community Advisory Board (YAB/CAB) and offer housing support/case management for clients facing or at risk of housing insecurity, within program capacity. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Communications, or related field preferred. Experience in health education, marketing and or health related professional work preferred. Must experience and knowledge in the provision of services to specialized population of those served by assigned program. Must be able to take initiative and direct teams of multi-disciplinary professionals and advocate for clients. Availability to work nights and weekends is required. Must have daily access to reliable, insured vehicle and active Driver's License. Background and driving record checks will be performed.
