Caring. Connecting. Growing together. As an Outpatient Registration Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and their families. Your professionalism and dedication will ensure that our patients receive the high-quality care they deserve. You will play a crucial role in facilitating patient admissions by gathering accurate patient demographics, verifying insurance benefits, and guiding families through the registration process. This Per Diem position offers the flexibility to work as needed within our 8-hour shift schedules. Our office is located at 1955 W FRYE RD, Chandler, AZ. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Interacting compassionately with patients and families to complete the registration process and verify eligibility. Collecting patient demographics, health information, and insurance benefit details accurately. Managing point of service cash collections such as co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance. Entering data accurately into the hospital’s computer system. Organizing and scheduling appointments and referrals efficiently. Pre-registering patients for both emergency and scheduled cases. Generating and analyzing patient data reports, addressing inconsistencies proactively. You'll be recognized for your exceptional performance and will receive guidance to help you succeed and grow in your career. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED (or higher). At least 2 years of experience in a Hospital Patient Registration Department, Physician office, or any medical setting. Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service. 1+ year of experience with insurance policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual fluency in English & Spanish. Knowledge of facility pricing structures and cost estimates. Familiarity with ICD9 (10) and CPT terminology. Understanding of medical terminology. Experience in collecting patient financial responsibilities. Background in submitting authorization requests and processing referrals. Comfortable using Google products. Pay will vary based on factors like local labor markets, education, and experience. This role has an hourly pay range from $17.74 to $31.63, based on full-time employment.
