Manager Core Lab
The Manager Core Lab assists in training and troubleshooting for the various testing platforms in the Core Lab areas. Platforms include Beckman Coulter AU, Access 2 and DXI for Chemistry. Sysmex 9100 for Hematology, ACL Top for Coagulation, Ortho for blood bank as well as urinalysis, blood gas, and anesthesia stat lab areas. The position will be both a supervisory role as well as technical resource for the section managers of Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank, and Specimen Processing. Assures existing and new laboratory procedures are approved, performed correctly and reported properly. Affects improvements, ensures quality of apparatus, equipment and materials. Maintains efficient record systems and performs related duties in the best interests of laboratory services to patients. Supervises staff and holds them accountable for yielding reliable patient laboratory results. Responsible for payroll, scheduling, budgetary restraints and inventory control. Education: Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or Chemistry Required. Master's Degree Preferred. Experience: 3 years experience in Chemistry/Hematology Required. 2 years experience in a supervisory role Required. General Experience and knowledge of licensing, accreditation and regulatory requirements Required. General Experience and knowledge of Quality Control procedures Preferred. Licenses: Amer Soc Clinical Pathology Preferred.
