Transportation Planning Intern

This opportunity entails being under close supervision, assist departments by performing basic assignments in the areas including, but not limited to Science, Planning, Technology. This position is usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis. Our Arlington, Virginia office is seeking Transportation Planning Interns for Summer 2026 within our ITS and Tolling departments. Relocation and housing are NOT provided for these positions. What You'll Do:
Assists project team members with various support tasks. Conducts basic research and data collection. Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects. Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports. Performs other duties assigned. What You'll Need:
Enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program What We Prefer:
Preferred completion of 2 years of program. Preferred degree program in environmental studies, landscape architecture, environmental planning, urban design, architecture, engineering, or related field. Strong interest in transportation and infrastructure Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
