Location: Geisinger Healthplex Woodbine Shift: Days (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: No Job Summary: Assists in developing and monitoring refractive functions of the practice with the goal of increasing referrals and maintaining high level of LASIK program. Works with staff and marketing personnel. Helps develop and evaluate various marketing media to determine efficiency and effectiveness. Serves as outreach technician for the practice. Assists physicians in the care and treatment of patients. Job Duties: Oversees the practice's screening program for refractive surgery for both off-site locations and in-house appointments. Provides technical support for screenings, health fairs, seminars, etc. Ensures that needs are met for educational and promotional material by working with the marketing department. Serves as an informational source for refractive patients with questions. Refers patients to business coordinator with financial questions. Tracks patients referred by Marketing projects. Makes follow-up phone calls and maintains database of LASIK patients and perspective patients. Serves as main liaison between LASIK Company and physicians. Maintains ability to perform all functions according to the ophthalmic technician job description.
