Georgia Institute Of Technology Hiring Manager Long term contract at 12 month increments Description TEKsystems Global Services has an immediate need for two Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) to support cybersecurity assurance efforts across weapons and RDT&E labs at China Lake and Point Mugu. These ISSOs will be responsible for executing the full Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle—from initial planning and system categorization to control implementation, validation, and preparation for Authorization to Operate (ATO). Selected candidates will be embedded within lab environments, building trust with technical teams and contributing to long-term mission success. Experience supporting classified and unclassified systems, including platform IT and avionics, is essential. Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance and be willing to relocate to Ridgecrest, CA. Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies and the ability to work collaboratively within lab cultures while respecting federal ethics guidelines is critical. Consultants will help implement security controls, maintain compliance, and support system authorization activities. The role involves documentation, risk assessment, and collaboration with technical teams. Active Secret clearance and relocation to Ridgecrest, CA are required. As an ISSO with TEKsystems Global Services, you’ll support mission-critical cybersecurity efforts in advanced weapons and RDT&E labs. You’ll work alongside expert teams, contribute to national defense, and grow your career in a cleared, high-trust environment. Consultants will be embedded within highly specialized weapons and RDT&E labs at China Lake and Point Mugu, supporting platforms such as the F-18, F-35, H-45, and T-45. The environment is mission-driven, technical, and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity compliance and documentation. Active DoD Secret Clearance (TS/SAP eligibility preferred for future needs) Experience with classified and unclassified systems, including RDT&E, DREN, SDREN, and platform IT Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies, NIST SP 800-53, and RMF compliance Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Excellent technical writing skills for security documentation and audit readiness Ability to work independently and embed within lab teams, building trust and rapport Willingness to relocate to Ridgecrest, CA, and commit to long-term support Interview Information Two step - Phone screen with Jermaine Bracy then meeting with the Navy Customer Business Challenge The primary business driver is the urgent need to scale cybersecurity assurance across expanding weapons and RDT&E lab environments at China Lake and Point Mugu. Due to new mission requirements, increased compliance demands, and workforce attrition, the Cybersecurity Assurance Branch must rapidly onboard qualified ISSOs to maintain operational readiness and meet DoD security standards. The customer impact is significant: without timely ISSO support, labs risk delays in system authorizations, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with federal mandates—potentially affecting mission-critical programs tied to national defense and electronic warfare capabilities.
