Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in endoscopic procedures, including assessment, care planning, and post-procedure monitoring.
• Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations and treatments; prepare equipment and maintain sterility.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques for endoscopy.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort, adhering to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Document patient conditions, reactions to medications, and care provided; communicate changes to supervisors or physicians promptly.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, and other team members to deliver coordinated care.
• Handle specimens with care to maintain diagnostic integrity and follow institutional protocols.
• Stay informed about advancements in endoscopy nursing and integrate evidence-based practices into care.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Endoscopy nurse
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification

• ACLS certifications (AHA/ARC)
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

• English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills
• Physical ability to remain stationary and assist with equipment up to 50-100 lbs

• Ability to handle dynamic schedules and maintain attention to detail
• Visual acuity and effective communication abilities
