ER RN Job Details – Ashland, WI
- Location: Ashland, WI 54806 – explore a lakeside community on Lake Superior, known for outdoor recreation and a friendly atmosphere.
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,990 - $2,130
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Duration: 13-week contract (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/9/2026)
- Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (all shifts available)
- Unit: Emergency Room (12 ER rooms, 2 Trauma rooms, 5 Urgent Care rooms)
- Charting System: EPIC (EPIC training provided during orientation)
- Orientation: 3 days of department orientation
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
- Preferred: Experience with EPIC charting system
- Ability to pass ESI ENA triage test (80% or higher required for triage role)
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills in a fast-paced healthcare setting
ER RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Room (average 60-80 patients/day, including urgent care)
- Perform triage, assessments, and interventions following ESI ENA guidelines
- Administer medications, IV drips (Heparin, sedation, vasopressors), and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, LPNs, nurse techs, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in team nursing and provide support to urgent care as needed
- Assist with patient transport, including accompanying critical patients to radiology
- Accurately document patient care in EPIC
- Maintain a safe environment, including care for psychiatric patients in a designated psych room
- Work rotating shifts, including 2 weekends per month and holidays as needed
