Travel CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Facility in Bakersfield, California

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to assigned patients during the surgical procedure and post-operative period.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure sterile and functional equipment, safe positioning, and patient care continuity.
• Assist with patient handoff to the recovery team and post-surgical care coordination.
• Support Universal Protocol and timeout procedures to confirm patient identity, procedure, and surgical site.
• Maintain sterile technique and respond to emergencies during surgery.
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

• English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical abilities: ability to remain stationary, move equipment, push, pull, and bend

• Technical/motor skills for procedures and equipment handling
• Mental requirements: ability to handle deadlines, irregular schedules, and maintain concentration
• Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
