We’re looking for a Private Duty Registered Nurse (RN) for a school-based contract assignment in La Plata, MD.

Job Tile: Private Duty Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: La Plata, MD
Setting: School-Based (Pre-K through 12, depending on assignment)
Pay Range: $34.00-$43.00 hourly (Pay based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday – no weekends, no holidays, no call

Hours: ~35 hours/week (based on school bell hours)

Contract Length: 43 Weeks

Candidate Type: Local candidates only – travel stipend not available

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a Registered Nure
  • Qualified applicants MUST have at least 2 years of experience in the school setting
  • Valid Nursing license
  • Be willing to obtain MD licensure

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential support and specialized care to students in educational settings.
  • From IEP meetings to direct therapy or nursing care, your role will have a lasting impact on the well-being and development of students throughout the academic year.
  • Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to ensure students receive services tailored to their individual needs.
  • Provide treatment for students with various communication disorders such as articulation, language, and fluency.
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations.
  • Write and implement goals and objectives for IEP’s.
  • Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team and provide classroom support.
  • Work with children in variety of classroom settings and provide additional services depending on the needs of the student population.
