Job Description
Required education:
• Bachelor's degree in management information systems, Business, or related field, and/or relevant experience
Required skills: • 8 years working on large, complex IT systems • 8 years eliciting requirements, writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, testing outcomes, and facilitating communication between stakeholders and project teams • 8 years with SDLC procedures and system development methodologies • 8 years managing stakeholder expectations and priorities • 8 years working within a project governance structure (methodology, templates, reporting) • 8 years of excellent task management skills, balancing multiple tasks with shifting priorities • 8 years with Microsoft development platforms and software • 6 years in an Agile environment • 5 years with ALM tools (TFS, VSTS, Azure DevOps, Jira, RTC) • 5 years working with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or other RDBMS • 3 years familiarity with advanced information management practices, data modeling standards, and/or architecture design and analysis
Preferred skills: • Experience providing consulting services to governmental entities
Overview: The client provides secure, adaptable, and cost-effective IT services to its partners, managing all Executive Branch IT assets, projects, and resources. Supports citizens by delivering innovative technology solutions and maintaining a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus. Business Analysts will work on multiple projects, collaborating directly with stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to gather, document, and translate requirements into actionable solutions
Job responsibilities: • Gather and document requirements for applications and systems in collaboration with business leaders, SMEs, and technical partners • Create, present, and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and design documents in systems • Document, trace, maintain, prioritize, and assess changes to business practices, workflows, and system processes • Act as project manager or QA analyst for smaller efforts • Conduct research, query data, analyze problems, and recommend solutions or process improvements • Consistently update project information, statuses, risks, issues, and timelines for reporting • Work within Agile methodology to deliver value and adapt rapidly to changing needs • Participate in database and forms analysis as needed • Map processes, facilitate groups, analyze data, and support all project lifecycle phases • Translate business strategies into requirements and specifications, guiding stakeholders through business case development • Deliver consulting services, recognize value in modernization, and support continuous process improvement • Work closely with business units to identify and deliver enterprise value • Consult with executive stakeholders to define business needs and solutions
