Shipping Associate - 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Job Summary: The Shipping Associate will report directly to the Shipping Supervisor and is responsible for accurately pulling, inspecting, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Pull and inspect customer orders per pick list and supervisor direction. Execute all aspects of the order pick and ship process for freight and small parcel shipments. Wrap pallets securely for shipment and load trucks safely. Operate stand-up forklift, reach truck, and pallet jack as needed. Utilize handheld scanners for all inventory and shipping transactions. Maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency in order processing. Collaborate with team members to keep work areas clean and organized. Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Experience: 1-3 years of shipping or warehouse experience (domestic and international preferred). Equipment: Prior stand-up forklift experience required (at least a few months of hands-on use). Reach truck experience is a plus. Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Work Style: Able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
