Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - $1,858 per week in Lansing, MI

Responsibilities include working with patients who have orthopedic conditions such as total joint replacements, fracture management, amputations, and multi-trauma. You will assist in the rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions including cerebrovascular accidents, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and others. The job also encompasses cardiovascular care, such as post-cardiac bypass procedures, valve repairs, and pacemaker management. In addition, you will support general medical/surgical debility and post-surgical care. Work is Monday through Friday from 08:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There are no weekend shifts, no call duties, and no floating to other units. Required skills include knowledge of adaptive devices, acute care, breathing techniques, patient family education, and understanding lines and drains. You will utilize assistive devices for mobility and be knowledgeable about safety procedures involved in patient care. Experience with a variety of patient demographics including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics is important. Candidates are expected to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
