Our client is growing and looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to support earthwork, site development, and civil construction projects. This role involves operating a range of equipment with precision, awareness of site conditions, and a strong focus on safety and production.
Responsibilities Operate excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, backhoes, skid steers, and graders Perform rough and fine grading, trenching, excavation, and material moving Read grade stakes, site layouts, and follow directions from foremen and superintendents Conduct daily pre-op inspections and report equipment issues Assist with minor equipment adjustments and fluid checks Work alongside laborers and field crews to meet production goals Maintain safe operating practices on active construction sites Follow project plans, safety procedures, and environmental standards Equipment Experience (Preferred) Excavators - CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Hitachi Dozers - John Deere, CAT, Case Skid Steers & Loaders - Bobcat, CAT, Volvo Graders & Rollers - Deere, Hamm, Sakai Off-road trucks and site haul equipment Qualifications Experience operating heavy construction equipment across multiple job types Ability to work from grade stakes, plans, and supervisory direction Knowledge of jobsite safety, trenching, and equipment operation standards Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus GPS machine control experience is a bonus but not required Keywords for Ranking
