Travel Surgical Tech - $2,208 per week in Rapid City, SD

Job Title: OR Tech Profession: OR Tech Specialty: Surgical Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hour Variable Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: 2 years of OR level 1 or 2 trauma experience; proficient in Neuro, Trauma, ENT, Robotics License: CST or SFA Certifications: BLS, CST-NB, preferred: CST, CSFA (NBSTSA or NCCSA), SA-C, CSA or CRNFA (ASBA) Must-Have: 2 years of experience with Urology, Neuro, Ortho, Robotic, General, Podiatry, and ENT case types; Davinci XI and Craniotomy experience required for Trauma Description: Must be proficient in Neuro, Trauma, ENT, and Robotics. Required experience includes 2 years of OR level 1 or 2 trauma experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Travelers must live more than 100 miles away from the facility. Permanent staff must wait one full year to return as a traveler. Patient types include Surgical (Urology, Neuro, Ortho, Robotic, General, Podiatry, ENT). Patient ratios are 1:1 in the OR, 1:2 in Pre-Op, and either 1:1 or 1:2 in PACU Phase I based on acuity, while Phase II is at a ratio of 1:2-3. Required certifications include CST and SFA. CST must have an associate degree in a healthcare-related field or be a graduate from an accredited surgical tech program, unless nationally certified. SFA requires an associate degree in a healthcare-related field. For CST, 2 years of experience with the mentioned case types is necessary. Experience with Davinci XI and Craniotomy is required for Trauma. For SFA, 2 years of experience with the above-mentioned case types is also necessary. Support on the unit includes Surgery RN, First Assist, and Surgical Tech. There will be a service line lead and a scheduler. Travelers may float to Central Sterile Processing as needed. Scheduling includes weekend rotation and call needs subject to change based on departmental needs. Holiday expectations include 2 out of 4 major holidays.
