Job Description We are seeking an experienced 8 to 10 years of Python Developer to join our team for a 6-9 month engagement with our client, Johns Hopkins. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing and enhancing Python scripts for data cleansing and preprocessing.
Key Responsibilities
Work with existing Python scripts and codebases to enhance functionality and meet business requirements.
Develop and optimize Python scripts for data cleansing, preprocessing, and profiling to ensure data quality and integrity.
Handle large datasets efficiently and implement best practices for data validation and transformation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
Leverage widely used Python libraries to improve data processing capabilities.
Work within an Azure cloud environment to deploy and manage Python solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Python programming with hands-on experience in data processing and cleansing.
Expertise in working with Python libraries commonly used for data preprocessing and profiling (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, etc.).
Experience handling large datasets and ensuring data quality through automation.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure, for deploying and managing Python applications.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to evolving project needs.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
