We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Estimator
for an opportunity with our client in Kansas City, MO. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation. This role plays a critical part in helping the company win bids and maintain profitability. Key Responsibilities:
Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to determine project costs.
Prepare bid packages and proposals for clients.
Monitor and update cost databases and historical data for future reference.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
Maintain organized records of estimates and project documentation.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in estimating within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills: Experience with commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
Pay Details:
$70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
