About the Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished engineering leader to lead Bleacher Report Sports at WBD. You will oversee cross-functional engineering teams, drive clarity and accountability across the technology platform, and guide the organization toward innovative solutions while delivering a best-in-class product experience for millions of sports fans. You will set and achieve strategic goals, inspire high-performing teams, and promote continuous improvement, delivery, and operational excellence.

Role Expectations

Lead and manage the Bleacher Report Sports experience across Web, iOS, Android, and platform services. Foster a culture of engineering ownership and build strong relationships with stakeholders to align goals. Provide hands-on leadership in design, architecture, planning, feature delivery, and operations while developing leaders and individual contributors to scale the global platform. Define metrics, incident management processes, and quality assurance to ensure system resilience. Implement load testing and performance monitoring to maintain reliability. Collaborate with Product, Design, Content/Marketing, and Digital Platform teams to deliver impactful architecture and features. Strive to deliver a world-class customer experience with ongoing improvements in functionality, usability, and simplicity.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 8 years in leadership roles, with success leading senior engineering managers and individual contributors across global teams.
• Strong knowledge and architectural expertise in Web, Mobile Apps, and Services.
• Proven ability to deliver high-performance solutions while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, including influencing, driving change, developing leaders, improving processes, and aligning cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to engage with executives and cross-functional teams with professionalism.
• Passion for sports, technology, and digital fan engagement.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Compensation information: Pay range is $301,700.00 - $560,300.00 per year, depending on location, experience, and other factors. Base pay is one component of total compensation, which may include bonuses and other rewards. Benefits include health coverage, wellness programs, retirement savings, paid time off, and more.
