Green Sage Cafe is seeking an experienced and mission-driven
District Manager
to oversee the daily success of our three Asheville locations, along with our Juicery and Commissary departments. This is a great opportunity for an operational leader who thrives in a multi-unit environment and is passionate about health, sustainability, and community.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development Supervise and support General Managers across multiple locations. Lead by example in fostering a positive, accountable, and values-based culture. Recruit, train, and mentor managers and team members to ensure strong leadership pipelines. Conduct regular site visits, meetings, and one-on-ones to assess performance and provide coaching. Operational Performance Ensure consistency in food quality, customer service, and cleanliness across all units. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and labor standards. Oversee labor efficiency, scheduling, and facility maintenance needs. Monitor adherence to company policies, procedures, and brand standards. Financial Management Partner with ownership and finance on budgeting and forecasting. Analyze sales and labor reports, identify trends, and recommend improvements. Manage food, labor, and operating costs to achieve profitability targets. Customer & Community Engagement Ensure every location delivers an outstanding guest experience. Support community outreach and local marketing initiatives to grow customer loyalty. Uphold Green Sages reputation as a community hub for clean, nourishing food. Training & Development
Oversee onboarding and training programs to maintain consistent standards. Ensure managers are equipped with tools, systems, and skills to succeed. Identify and promote high-potential employees into leadership roles. Qualifications
3+ years of multi-unit management or district management experience in restaurants, retail, or hospitality. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable. Proven success in managing budgets, costs, and financial performance. Experience in fast-casual, natural foods, or catering strongly preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Passion for sustainable, health-focused dining. Benefits
