Light Commercial Installer . Role and Responsibilities The essential roles and responsibilities are outlined below: Install or replace split system or packaged HVAC systems
Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing
Copper/Copper Complete systems Repair systems
Recover, pressure test, evacuate, charge and leak test refrigerants - split systems Install and measure duct connections Use a variety of hand tools, interpret drawings, plans, and specifications, to install, assemble, and test the system Capable of identifying HVAC equipment and components of HVAC equipment
Packaged, Split….. Compressor, Contactor,
Suction/Discharge/Liquid
lines,
Condenser/Evaporator ……. Complete understanding of the refrigeration cycle Complete understanding of the electrical system Complete understanding of the products control system Identify and recommend repairs needed
Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time. Qualifications and Education Requirements Previous experience in residential or light commercial split-level install Able to evacuate and recharge systems Must have own hand tools Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. Must successfully pass a background check Attending or completed HVAC technical training.
Community College OJT Military HVAC/Electrical Training Possess or capable of obtaining Universal Certification
