2026 Packaging Engineering Co-Op Overview
As an AbbVie Packaging Engineering Co-Op, youll participate in a paid, six-month program working on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on our business and patients worldwide. AbbVies Global Packaging organization offers you an opportunity to work in a variety of packaging formats and materials. Throughout the duration, there will be developmental and networking activities, along with housing and shuttle services for eligible students. Co-ops will be expected to work from our North Chicago campus headquartered in north suburban Chicago, at least three days per week, in accordance with company policy.
Key Responsibilities Include: Packaging development and testing for new projects Test protocol and test execution Material identification, selection, and specifications Data mining for standardization opportunities Sustainability and packaging improvement opportunities Qualifications
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelors in Packaging or related field Must be returning to university the semester following your Co-Op Expected graduation date between December 2026 - June 2028 Preferred Qualifications
Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal skills Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and project management skills Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Strong academic performance, GPA 3.0/4.0 Additional Information
