Base pay range $32.00/hr - $32.00/hr World Languages: Language Proficiency Assessor Description: The International Center for Language Studies (ICLS) is a woman-owned, independent language school based in Washington, DC with over 58 years of experience delivering high-quality training in ESL and foreign languages to government and corporate clients. The ICLS mission is to offer learner-centered language training that develop authentic target language use, focus on individual goals, and enable students to be successful in a global environment. ICLS is currently seeking experienced Language Testers to assess the language proficiency. These high-stake assessments will be conducted by a trained testing team that uphold the highest level of professionalism to ensure validity and test reliability. World Languages Tested: Afrikaans Haitian Creole Polish Tamil Albanian Hausa Portuguese (Brazilian) Telugu Amharic Hebrew Portuguese (Continental) Thai Arabic (Egyptian) Hindi Romanian Tigrinya Arabic (Iraqi) Indonesian Russian Turkish Arabic (Levantine) Italian Spanish Ukrainian Arabic (MSA) Japanese Swahili (Kiswahili) Urdu Arabic (Saudi) Khmer Swedish Vietnamese Armenian (Eastern) Korean / North Korean Tagalog Wolof Bengali Lao Tajik Yoruba Bulgarian Lithuanian Malagasy Akan (Twi, Asante) Cantonese Mandingo Georgian Uighur Czech Mandarin Chinese Fula Dari Nepali Finnish Farsi (Persian) Nepalese French German Gujarati Greek Requirements: Thorough knowledge and exposure to the Interagency Language Roundtable Skill Level Descriptions Thorough experience in profiling and scoring language samples in high-stake testing situations Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a team (both on Zoom and in-person) Intuitive attention to detail and ability to multitask Welcoming, empathetic and patient nature Ability to adapt to situations that change quickly Preferred: Bachelor's or master's Degree Familiarity with government testing formats (eg. OPI, Department of State, and Department of Defense DLPT) Security Clearances (if applicable): public trust, secret, top secret (TS) Please submit your resume highlighting your testing experience.
