Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire Opportunities Available

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Operator to maintain, repair, and operate a variety of heavy machinery used in industrial and construction environments. This role combines hands-on equipment operation with mechanical troubleshooting and repair to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance of all equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, bulldozers, or cranes in support of daily operations.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on equipment.
• Safely transport, position, and utilize equipment for production, construction, or maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate service and repair logs, documenting all work performed.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure equipment is operated and maintained in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Assist with training operators on safe and proper equipment use as needed.
• Keep tools, shop, and work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a heavy equipment mechanic and/or operator required.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL , but not always required).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in varying weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
