You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key responsibilities AWS Hardware Engineering is looking for a leader to drive a team to deliver best in class performance of our novel hardware designs from inception, through manufacturing, implementation and maturation, and eventually deprecation. Ensure all core system components, including CPU and memory, meet or exceed the high performance bar, while ensuring performance is healthy across the fleet of EC2 servers. Organize a team of skilled hardware and system development engineers to partner with silicon suppliers, ODMs, and internal customers to maintain a high performing system component roadmap. Define implementation strategy and report status frequently to senior leadership. Direct work that enables AWS to launch next generation server designs. The base pay for this position ranges from $135,900/year to $234,900/year, plus a full range of benefits. Pay is based on factors including location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
