Washingtonian magazine is seeking a full-time Marketing & Events Graphic Designer to join its creative team. This role focuses primarily on event marketing design with additional responsibilities with sales and advertising materials. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with InDesign and Microsoft PowerPoint, excellent communication skills, and be a self-starter who can thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Event Marketing & Design Responsibilities
Develop and pitch comprehensive design concepts for all Washingtonian events, including signage, promotional materials, and venue branding
Create event marketing campaigns from concept to execution, including digital graphics, print materials, and social media assets
Provide day-of event support to ensure proper setup and execution of all design elements and signage
Design post-event recap materials and documentation
Maintain consistent Washingtonian branding across all custom events and experiences
Collaborate with events team to ensure design supports marketing objectives and enhances attendee experience
Manage multiple event design projects simultaneously with varying timelines and requirements
Sales & Advertising Materials Responsibilities
Design and update magazine media kits and sales materials throughout the year
Create in-magazine promotional pages and advertorials
Produce digital marketing graphics for custom sales campaigns, including circulation campaigns and photo contests
Produce printable files for plaque sales
Develop house ads and maintain organized design file systems
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft PowerPoint
Strong project management and organizational abilities
Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining design quality
Experience with event marketing materials preferred
Salary: range between $55,000-$60,000 (compensation will be commensurate with experience)
