Overview
The Senior Cybersecurity Technical Specialist is a detail-oriented and highly skilled individual on the cybersecurity team. This role will oversee the selection, deployment and sustainability of security solutions, conduct vulnerability assessments, and lead incident response efforts to protect East West Manufacturing IT & OT digital assets at all business units across the world. The ideal candidate collaborates with partners, has hands-on experience with firewalls, security tools, incident response, risk management and compliance, and will play a key role in ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and data.
Responsibilities
- Configure and manage security tools such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners.
- Conduct advanced threat analysis and risk assessments.
- Identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
- Lead penetration testing and security audits.
- Ensure strict enforcement of security policies across the organization.
- Act as the primary liaison for security-related incidents, leading investigations.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Lead security awareness training programs.
- Develop, enforce, and maintain security policies, baselines, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and MIS teams to provide technical guidance to ensure secure system configurations as well as software development.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT/OT security roles.
- Fortinet experience in firewalls or certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network security, cloud security (Azure), and endpoint protection.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Adlumin, FortiSIEM) and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, ISSAP, ISSEP, ISSMP or GSEC are a plus.
- Experience in compliance certifications such as CMMC (preferred), ITAR, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
- Familiar with EDR solutions such as SentinelOne and Huntress monitored by a SOC.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview solutions, such as assisting with data governance policies, supporting compliance processes for enterprise projects, and helping to organize data classification frameworks as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Lifting equipment up to 10kg.
Travel Requirements
Up to approximately 25% depending on the business need and projects.
