Who we are: Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is a large provider of hospital and healthcare services with a diverse portfolio of facilities and services.

Position Summary

Prepare and implement curriculum and lesson plans for patients/residents admitted to the residential program in a classroom setting. Students age range 12–17 years. Provide professional level instruction in accordance with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and comply with all state, federal, and local regulatory laws.

Schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. All classes are in-person learning.

Qualifications

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in secondary education preferred.

Experience: Prior teaching experience preferred.

License/Certification: NC Educator license through the NC Department of Public Instruction.

Physical requirements: Light work – ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, with other physical requirements as described for light work.

Other requirements: Grasping; Speaking; Hearing; Computer use; Visual acuity; Sitting; Standing; Walking; Pushing; Pulling; Stooping; Reaching; Twisting; Crouching; Ability to perform physical restraints/holds; Ability to administer CPR.
