The Vice President, Partnership Tax, will report to the Director of Partnership Tax.

What You’ll Do

Manage partnership tax compliance matters for Galaxy’s asset management funds and other partnership entities within Galaxy’s structure, working closely with members of the Tax and Finance teams, as well as outside tax advisors and service providers

Manage day-to-day operational tasks for partnerships tax matters, including but not limited to reviewing and responding to notices, calculating quarterly tax payments, preparing various IRS forms, and updating/maintaining organized tax files and workpapers

Assist with ad hoc projects and perform analysis in connection with business directives and initiatives as the digital asset and blockchain landscape evolves

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of progressive partnership tax experience in a Big 4 and/or private industry

Experience in asset/investment management, including fund-of-fund investments, financial services/technology, and/or banking/capital markets

Firm understanding of partnership tax laws and principles, as well as familiarity with international and corporate tax matters

Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently, but within a team-oriented, collaborative environment

CPA license required, Master’s in Taxation and/or Juris Doctor a plus

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Bonus Points

Experience working with “Up-C” structures and/or IRC 704(c) allocations

Experience with digital assets and blockchain investments

Experience with automating tax processes

Base Salary Range: $165,000 - $200,000 USD
