Overview
Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at a Retail Store location for Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay to help fund the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment. Assists with leading the production room as appropriate. Key responsibilities include people leadership, store operations, customer service, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, and training and development of store Team Members. Responsibilities
Develops and executes retail operations plans to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production. Monitors product levels daily (floor, as-is, recycle, trash, seasonal back stock) to meet bottom line and sales targets. Ensure payroll costs and operating costs are managed within budget. Ensure Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers; de-escalate customer situations and resolve appropriately. Maintain clean, well-kept stores that reflect the Goodwill brand. Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote the Goodwill mission; act as a Goodwill ambassador to the community. Lead day-to-day operations of the sales floor and ensure Retail Store Associates and Customer Service Managers are well-trained and fulfilling duties. Act as a key holder for the store, closing shift manager, and backup to the Store Manager. Process complex sales transactions, including customer returns; ensure team members operate per company standards and procedures. Travel to other Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay locations to assist other stores and attend training; transfer to different stores as needed. Collaborate with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, Learning & Development) to achieve business goals and ensure policy compliance. Maintain regular, in-person attendance and build a high-performing team. Oversee performance management, staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members; support company culture and change management efforts. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience One-year work experience in Retail Management One-year customer service experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable Ability to speak and read English proficiently Physical Requirements
Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull at least 20 lbs Must be able to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs Ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, handle items, reach, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend Reasonable Accommodation
