Overview:

Our client, a publicly traded company based in Massachusetts, is seeking a highly skilled

Chief Accounting Officer (CAO)

consultant with deep

SEC reporting

expertise. This high-impact interim role will support the

CFO

and

outside counsel

on complex regulatory filings and accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all SEC filings including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other public disclosures Provide technical accounting guidance in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations Collaborate directly with the CFO and legal counsel to ensure full compliance and accuracy Evaluate and enhance internal financial reporting and control processes Act as the lead advisor on all SEC and public company reporting matters

Qualifications:

CPA required 5+ years of direct SEC filing experience in a public company setting 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience Prior roles such as CAO, Corporate Controller, or Director of SEC Reporting preferred Strong executive communication skills and experience working cross-functionally Big 4 public accounting background is a plus

Compensation:

Competitive hourly or project-based rate, commensurate with experience.
