Travel Job Description & Requirements Registered Nurse – Emergency Room - Travel - (ER RN)
StartDate: 10/20/2025 Available Shifts: 12 E Pay Rate: $1782.10 - $2421.84
Triage and Initial Assessment
Quickly assess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition. Prioritize care based on acuity using standardized triage systems (e.g., ESI – Emergency Severity Index). Rapid Patient Care
Deliver prompt, accurate care in high-stress, time-sensitive situations. Perform initial and ongoing assessments of vital signs and physical conditions. Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency interventions (e.g., CPR, defibrillation). Collaboration with Healthcare Team
Work closely with ED physicians, specialists, and support staff. Communicate patient status, changes, and treatment responses effectively. Assist with procedures like intubations, central line insertions, or wound care. Documentation and Charting
Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHR. Maintain accurate and timely patient records, often under pressure. Patient Education and Discharge Planning
Explain procedures, medications, and follow-up care to patients and families. Coordinate with case managers or social workers for discharge or transfer.
Crisis and Trauma Management
Respond to codes (e.g., Code Blue, trauma alerts). Care for critically ill or injured patients (e.g., cardiac arrest, strokes, gunshot wounds). Infection Control and Safety
Follow strict infection control protocols. Ensure safety measures for patients, staff, and themselves. Mental Health Support
Assess and manage patients experiencing mental health crises. Use de-escalation techniques and involve psychiatric resources when necessary.
Required Qualifications Registered Nurse, ER Experience: 2 years RN(Compact Accepted)(Copy needed) Certifications: BLS(Copy needed); ACLS(Copy needed); PALS(Copy needed); CERT-TNCC(Copy needed) Work History: Should not be more than 30 days of gap in entire work history ER Skills Checklist and Reference within a year RTO upon submission 26 week contracts Video Interview with the Unit Manager
