What you'll do:
As a Dental Assistant you will work to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, sterilizing, disinfecting, and maintaining dental equipment, instruments, and supplies
- Collecting and recording patient health histories and x-rays
- Completing charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed
- Assisting the doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies
- Delivering postoperative and general oral care instructions to patients
- Maintaining infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff
- Assisting the administrative team with customer service functions
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred but not required
- Previous customer service or office experience
- Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fostering a positive attitude and being a team player
Patient Care Hours:
Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
