- Assist in bread-and-butter oral surgery: implants, wisdom teeth, IV sedation, and consultations

- Pay Rate: $18-23/hour, depending on experience and certification

Albany Office - 7 Southwoods Blvd, Suite 1, Albany, NY 12211
Latham Office - 11 Century Hill Drive, Suite 200, Latham, NY 12110
Schedule: 4 days in Albany, 1 day in Latham | Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-2pm
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Prepare surgical rooms, instruments, and patient charts in advance of procedures
- Assist chairside during oral surgery procedures including sedation, extractions, and implant placements
- Monitor and update patient vitals, comfort, and post-op recovery instructions
- Sterilize and maintain instruments following strict surgical protocols
- Coordinate inventory of surgical supplies and track implant materials
- Support the surgeon and anesthesia team with setup and procedural assistance
- Provide detailed pre- and post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers
- Maintain electronic records, chart treatment notes, and assist with digital imaging as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assistant program (preferred)
- Oral Surgery Assistant Certification (preferred)
- DANB, ICE, RHS certifications (state-dependent)
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of chairside assisting experience (oral surgery preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and calm presence in surgical environments
- A team-oriented mindset with high attention to detail
- 1 phone interview
- 1 in-person interview with clinical tour
