Our office, EndoCare – Berkeley, is seeking a talented Lead Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Dental Assistant to help us accomplish our mission of improving the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient.
Your Responsibilities
You will ensure excellent patient service while supporting the dentist and guiding the dental assisting team. Your role will focus on both patient care and office coordination, helping lift administrative and clinical tasks off the Dentist’s shoulders. This includes:
- Welcoming patients to the office and preparing them for treatment
- Ensuring patient comfort and answering questions throughout their visit
- Assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry and clinical procedures
- Leading, training, and mentoring the dental assisting team
- Managing supply orders, monitoring inventory, and coordinating with vendors
- Sterilizing, organizing, and maintaining instruments and equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Preparing operatories for each patient and keeping the clinical environment safe and organized
- Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Handling scheduling and administrative support when needed to maintain patient flow
- Supporting payment procedures and accurate patient records
As a key member of our practice, you will also take the lead in ensuring the assisting team is supported and equipped to deliver high-quality patient care every day.
Your Background
You are a resourceful dental assistant who loves helping patients receive the best experience possible while leading a team and supporting the Dentist. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and take pride in being both detail-oriented and compassionate.
You also have the following:
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent credentials
- At least 3–5 years of experience as a Dental Assistant, with prior leadership or mentorship experience preferred
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and OSHA compliance standards
- Experience with dental software, patient management, and inventory control
- Strong understanding of dental care procedures and best practices
- Excellent communication and people skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care
- A high school diploma (certificate or radiology license if required by state law)

Position Base Pay Range: $25 USD - $32 USD
