Overview
Phlebotomist - Labcorp, Austin, TX 78745. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company in a client setting. Opportunities for growth within the organization are available.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am - 5pm; Saturday 8am - 12pm (rotating; as needed).
Location: Austin, TX 78745.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist; at least 1 year preferred
- Pediatric - Geriatric patient experience highly preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced / high-volume environment
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
