Grand Fitness is hiring: Front Desk Overnight in Rockaway

Position: Overnight Front Desk Sales Associate (Part-time)

As an Overnight Front Desk Sales Associate, you will be responsible for delivering a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests, while ensuring an exceptional “Judgement Free” experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club; assist them with questions or concerns during check-in.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone by engaging with members on the club floor and supporting their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
• Resolve member concerns and escalate to a Manager as needed.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with inquiries.
• Perform membership-related functions such as sign-ups, updating contact/billing information, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, and transferring memberships.
• Conduct tours for prospective members and assess their membership needs.
• Execute retail transactions and drive sales goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities, including communal spaces and your assigned area.
• Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and orderly by following the cleaning schedule.
• Regularly walk through all club areas to identify and address safety, policy, or cleanliness issues.
• Promptly address maintenance and facility concerns (e.g., equipment issues, leaky fixtures).

Qualifications

• 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment preferred
• Must be 18 years of age
• Willing to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness)
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to continuously talk with members in person or on the phone during shift
• Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals during shift

This role is subject to successful completion of a background check, after offer acceptance. All background screens will be conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
